  • London marriage

On Ancestry there is a record of a marriage in London between Sarah Parslow and Enos Free. Unfortunately, I haven't got an Ancestry sub at the moment. Would someone be willing to have a look please, I'd like to know who Sarah's father was.

Sorry, no idea. It is showing under London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921. I should think it was about 1850.

Hi Jane, this is interesting, there are two marriages for Enos Free, the one you ask about & an earlier one!

1845 Jul 17, Enos Free, b, Stone cutter, f Edward Free, stone cutter = Ann Parslow, s, f, Thomas Parslow, gamekeeper at St John the Baptist, Hillingdon, wits Francis Weedon & Ann ?

1848 Nov 9, Enos Free, b, stone mason,f Edward Free, stone mason = Sarah Parslow, s, f William Parslow, timber dealer at St Marys, Paddington. Both addresses Hall Place, wits George Parslow & I can't read the other.

I've just looked again at the signatures & even though he says he is a batchelor I would say it is the same signature on both.

Thank you Vivienne. That is very interesting, lots to look into there! It is possible that Sarah is my 3xg grandfather's sister.
