Family Historian, has the most flexible printing options, and it comes with a free 30 day trial so you could download it and see if it suits your purpose.

            Hi,

If you are looking to print charts eg. descendant, ancestral, etc then the most flexible program is TreeDraw http://treedraw.spansoft.org

I downloaded the trial version of Treedraw a while ago; some of the things it does are OK, but I don't like the way it puts the husband and wife in the same box, and there doesn't seem to be an option to put them in separate boxes.

I find that Family Tree Maker is mostly OK for my needs, but I was hoping for something a bit more sophisticated.

RedKobold, can I ask if you work for Spansoft? I noticed that your only two posts on here relate to their products. No problem with that, but if you do work for them, I think it would be appropriate to say so.

Thanks Mary, I downloaded the free trial and I don't think it is going to be for me.
                    Regards......John

I use Family Tree Maker Charting Companion - not sure if it will work with anything newer than FTM 2010 but worth looking at.
