20th century marriage help

im looking for a marriage in the 20th century, from 1939 onwards. the bride was an informant on her father's death cert,1971, under her married name. she died in 1988, but i cant be sure of her husband. i found the marriage to her husband, but her name was not her maiden name, and im having trouble finding a marriage that would explain it. if i sent a p.m. would anyone heelp me out?
