    Could it be a Steward at Sea ????

    Frederick William Kingsman born 1862 Bermondsey

    Marries Jessie Mary Bass in 1887 in Hackney

    Occupation Steward


    Cannot find him in 1891 1901 or 1911

    Found his wife in 1891 1901 and 1911 without him but still saying Married
    in 1891 she is in Hackney
    in 1901 she is in Wood Green
    in 1911 she is in Southampton

    He dies in 1947 in Brighton

    Could well be Val, possibly Mercantile Marine... my gx2 a MMarine is missing on census.....had a look for your Fred but nothing sort of stands out.....xx

              Val,
              If you google the name a blog/short family will come up. It indicates that he was a ships steward s that may be the answer as to why he is missing from the census.
