unwanted sparkly background on firefox

Does anyone know how to get rid of the brightly coloured background on firefox? This appeared out of the blue when I opened firefox yesterday. The colours are really bright like shooting stars or fireworks and very distracting. They are at the top and bottom of the page.

Hoping someone can tell me what to do to get rid of them and why they suddenly appeared ? Did this happen to anyone else??

Click on Tools / Personas - and change it to default.
Have they gone?

If you go to Personas you can select My Favourites / Recently Selected / Most Popular etc and find one you prefer.
