Hi

Sometime ago I was recommended a newspaper site but unfortunately I cannot remember the name so I am hoping someone on here might know what I am talking about.

You can often access newspapers via your local library site, using your library card PIN number.
Do you live in the UK - if so have a look at your library website to see if they offer online resources.

Was it the Colindale Newspaper site at Colindale London?

Website as follows:

http://catalogue.bl.uk/F/?func=file&file_name=find-b&local_base=NPL

Where it says type word or phrase then type into that box name of place of your interest ie Plymouth/Bristol England etc and all the newspapers you a want for that area should come up.

Possibly Gale 19th. Century newspapers (some libraries have a subscription) or The Times digital archive (most libraries have a subscription).

A couple of possibilities down under to access digital copies of multiple newspapers

National Library of Australia - Trove - http://trove.nla.gov.au/
National Library of NZ - Papers Past - http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast?a=p&p=home&e=-------10--1----0--

Cheers
