When/who and where did he marry?

Ah, a tree on ancestry says he married Mary Garwood? abt 1832?

No parents given for him though, may be its your tree on there.

I assume you mean the one who married Mary Garwood?
Chrissie passed away in January 2020.

I just found the 1841 census image for them (I noticed its not on the other tree). Its mistranscribed under the name Chisler if its of interest. They are living at The Green, Brockley, Suffolk. There is also a possible daughter called Sarah aged 12 on there which would make the marriage a bit earlier than we thought from Ben's baptism.

          Name: Sarah Wheeler
          Gender: Female
          Birth Date: abt 1828
          Christening Date: 31 Aug 1828
          Christening Place: Brockley, Suffolk, England
          Father's Name: John Wheeler
          Mother's Name: Mary

Mary Garwoods mother Susan (blind) is on the 1851 with them.

In the 1841? Sadly no. Id hoped he may have them in the house - do you not have ancestry?

As it happens, Brockley consists of only 8 census pages so I have looked at them all. Although virtually half the village appears to be members of the Garwood family there are only two people called Wheeler living together - William Wheeler aged 70 agricultural labourer and James Wheeler aged 20 also ag lab. Remember the 1841 rounds down to nearly 0 or 5.

You may want to check the WIKI on here to see if there are any records you can consult on line or by email - there may be a parish clerk or local history group who could do a look up for you. Or try rootsweb
