  • Hannah Lacey born c1733

    Hello

I need some help trying to find the birth of my 9xGrt Grandmother Hannah Lacey who married Edward Harriott at All Hallows church Tottenham London in 1764.
They had 7 children. Anne-1766 Edmonton Middlesex, Robert-1768 Edmonton, 1773-Tottenham, Lydia Susanna-1774 Tottenham, Sarah-1777 Edmonton, Maria-1778 Tottenham and William-1780 Tottenham.

She died in 1818 in Tottenham Middlesex.

Can somebody see if there is a possible birth of a Hannah Lacey c1733 (Possibly Middlesex) with parents that may match one of the kids names?

    Thanks in advance.

That birth date seems a bit early for the children?

Only Lacey coming up early in Middx is for a different girl, but mums name is Hannah, so a possible connection?

    Name: Martha Lacey
    Parents: William Lacey
    Hannah Lacey
    Birth: abt 1754
Baptism: 21 Jul 1754 - St John of Wapping, Middlesex

You mention Tottenham for the marriage, there is a bunch of Laceys in Edmonton, not that far - eg:

    me: Mary Lacey
    Baptism Date: 28 Nov 1731
    Parish: All Saints, Edmonton
    County: Middlesex
    Borough: Enfield
    Parent(s): William Lacey,
    Mary Lacey
    Record Type: Baptism

Sorry, not being a lot of help am I? Have you tried free reg or the familysearch.org?

      Hi Heather

Thank you for the information, I was sort of hoping their daughter Lydia Susannah was gonna stem from a parent lol.
Maybe the father Edward Harriott c1739 had a mother named Lydia.

I will see if I can chase the Lacey family in Edmonton.

Theres a "Liddy" Lacey on a burial - just thought you may want to keep a note? (Ancestry says Lidey, but looks like Liddy to me on the register) Husband was a cordwainer

        Name: Lidey Lacey
        Burial Date: 26 Jun 1700
        Parish: St Saviour, Southwark
        County: Surrey
        Borough: Southwark
        Spouse: John
        : Burial

Thank you Heather I will make note of the burial.
Possibly a grandmother of my Lydia.

I will give the Harriott family a lookup and see if any names match there.
