I reckon shoe maker too. The word maker has been split so I can see what you mean about master.
And Im not sure that the surname begins with an F Val.. Have a look at the F used in other names like Francis on there. I think this bloke is a bit of a scrawler.
Just checked freebmd and they say either Forhand or Formand!!
Can you find her place of birth on the census after she marries? We could perhaps trace her birth? I started trawling all the Margaret Janes in London but 11
This looks like them in 1881 - John Richards is still a tin plate worker, she is is flower maker born 1859 City of London
Or could you try to find her dad at the address given on the 1881?Last edited by Heather Positive Thinker; 13-02-11, 21:51.

I dont know IF you noticed but on the marriage cert it gives 8 NORMAND buildings.. but it is clearly NORMAN on the census, I wonder if he did the same with her surname? ie should be FORMAN but he put FORMAND?Last edited by Darksecretz; 14-02-11, 11:10.Julie

Sounds good Same occupation that she has after marriage. Year of birth a bit out. Id thought the marriage cert said 20 years old in 1878 but looking at it again ..........
Oh and the address in 1871 (with the aunt and uncle) matches!!!!!!! with the marriage cert - 8 Normans(d) Buildings. WOO HOO, well done.Last edited by Heather Positive Thinker; 14-02-11, 11:13.

there is an Ancestry tree for Robert Forman and his children.. the parents have both died by the 1881 census, this could explain why margaret and her brother are with aunt?http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/223...son/1352738728Julie
