  • Edward Harriott help please

    Hello everyone

My 6xGrt Grandfather Edward Harriott was born 1773 according to his death cert. He married Christiana Fraser on the 10th of May 1795 at St Botolph's Bishopsgate London.
He was a farrier by trade and he and Christiana had there first child in 1796 by the name of Sophia and had her baptised at the same church they were married at.
Edward died in Islington in 1839.

Can anybody please help me find a birth for Edward Harriott who I am imagine was born in Middlesex c1773.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again Julie, I will do a basic search to see if I can see a likely marriage for Edward and Hannah.

                        Hi quiffdo

I have found a death record on Ancestry for an Edward Harriott born in 1773 and died in Islington, London 16th June 1839, now those two years match yours.

I have found an Edward Harriott, father Edward, mother Hannah, born 19th March 1773, christened at All Hallows, Tottenham, Parish of Haringey, no birth record entry though, see below.

                        Christening
                        Name: Edward Harriot
                        Parents: EdwardHarriot
                        Hannah Harriot
                        Birth: abt 1773
Baptism: 19 Mar 1773 - All Hallows, Tottenham, Middlesex

No problems, I just wished that the witness' had been of some use.. I suppose though they might still be relatives, but it has given you abit to work with.. and possible new families to explore.

Julie could I please ask one more favour please (Sorry to be cheeky). I put in a basic search for Edward Harriott born c1745 and married to Hannah and a death came up in 1824 but I cannot see if the birth matches in anyway. Could you please tell me where the death took place and the birth year just to see if it matches. I'll leave you alone after this I promise lol.
