Trouble is, a marriage is usually in the bride's church.

              Was that her church, too?

Or was the marriage in the gap after 1810?

I have now checked the records upto 1837 and still no Richard Jones marriage. There were many small churches and chapels in the Llanarmon area, and as you say they could have married in the bride's church.

I have found a baptism for a Richard Jones on 25 June 1780, parents Edward and Catherine. This could possibly be him.
