    Hi

Just found his burial on the Nottingham Burial CD.

I am sure he is my direct ancestor. Buried 24 Sep 1736 and in the notes says 'Killed by a team at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.

By a team would it mean Horses and Carriage.

Not sure if Nottm newspapers go back that far. Will have to find out.

    Thanks
    Lin

The first thing that came to mind was a team of horses but you made me laugh about football being as it was on Trent Bridge.

I've just got this Burial CD from NFHS and its brilliant.

I'm thinking about the baptism one next as there are a load of infants dying that could be mine and can't find on the IGI or Freereb.

Just saving the pennies up as I have bought 2 death certs this week

It would be a team of horses, but much more likely to be pulling a wagon or something similar.

              Thanks UJ

I will have to see if there is anything about it in the archives or newspaper.

You only thing about getting run over by a motor vehicle don't you.

Trent Bridge? What about a team of cricketers

I'd agree a team of horses pulling a wagon/cart/drey is more likely though

                  Hi Barbara, how are you

We could also have the rowing and canoeing teams there as well.;)

                  Thanks for all your replies.

Isn't it lovely when you get these little comments on parish registers

                      Hi

What do the initials NFHS stand for and how can the CDs be purchased?

                        Hi

It stands for Nottingham Family History Society. It only has Nottingham burials on and cost £20.

I'm sure most family history societies do these CD's as well
