hi there can any one help me please i am trying to trace my family tree, i believe my mother came in via southampton from india in the forties how do i see the list with out spending any money.

Ancestry does have some incoming passenger lists in their UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960 database, but it is a subscription site.
If you don't have a subscription then you could sign up for a 14 day free trial, although you would need to give credit card details but as long as you cancel before the end of the 14 days then you will not be charged.

You could post some details on here and one of the members might be able to help - but if your mother is still living then we would ask that you do not give her name as we do not allow the names of living people to be posted on the open forum.
