  • Marriage of Hayward and Ellison

I've been searching without success for the 1st marriage of Ann Hayward b 1786 Tetbury Glous, to Joseph Ellison also his death.

They had a child William Joseph Ellison b. 27 Nov 1826. He was Baptised at St. Pancras 15 June 1828. Baptist record shows Father as Joseph Ellison a Bricklayer of St. James

Ann Ellison nee Hayward then married Samuel Upton Shillam using her maiden name and stating she was a spinster on 1 Jan 1807 at St. Paul, Covent Garden Westminster London.

I would be grateful for any help you can give.

Just a thought from someone with bucket-loads of Gloucestershire Haywards (but not this one!). My Haywards only started migrating in the mid-1800s, and Tetbury is a long way from London pre-railway. Are you sure you've got the correct birth/bap. or is there another Ann Hayward born nearer to London?
