Do you think that Ancestry have transcribed it incorrectly? On Find My Past there are two marriages for a Margaret Duggan, one for Q4 1925 to James Harvey and the other is for Q3 1925 to a Frederick Pope. Ancestry have two Margaret Duggan marriages both to Frederick Pope.

Margaret, Having looked again I think your are correct.
I also saw the two for Duggan - Pope.

          Ancestry have it wrong.

Search Margaret Duggan year 1925 and it gives you two results:

The first is Margaret Duggan to Pope - Limehouse Jul-Aug-Sep 1925. Click on 'view image' and you'll see the original image with the reference Vol 1C Page 527.

The second result is the same names but in Oct-Nov-Dec 1925. Click on 'view image' and you'll go to a blank page. This is where the error occurs.

It should link to page 5 of the document and the marriage of Margaret Duggan to Harvey Oct - Dec 1925 Vol 1C Page 504

Phew! I think I've typed that correctly.

Hi John, It should be reported, but I have no experience of reporting Ancestry transcription errors, perhaps someone with more experience of Ancestry will come on and advise you.

Thanks Margaret, I have reported to Ancestry via the contact us button.
Probably not the correct way though....
                Regards......John

I e-mailed Ancestry in September about the problem with their indexes for Oct-Nov-Dec in 1925. This is what I told them

"The indexes for this range of records are incorrect, the indexes for the Sep quarter have been used and therefore none of the pages are correct. It is not possible to find anyone married in the December quarter 1925 on the search facility."

                  This is their reply:

                  "Thank you for your email.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have reported this to our content team to look into. Feedback from you, our valued customer, helps us correct errors and improve the website. Your patience and efforts to assist us in this matter are appreciated.

Please understand that fixes to errors on Ancestry are posted firstly in the order of those which affect the greatest number of users, and thereafter in the order in which they are reported. For this reason, fixes for some errors may take longer than others to be posted. We appreciate your patience."

Hopefully if more of us contact them, something will be done eventually

                  Linda
