    Is it possible for someone to look up a death in Queensland without knowing the right year, I would like to find the death date of my brother-in-law. He died as far as I know in the early 1990's

    Try looking up a Family History Society for the area he was in, as they may be able to help there.
    I did that for a Canadian branch and got soooooo much help and information

    FRANKLIN (Harrow/Pinner 1700 to 1850); PURSGLOVE (ALL Southern counties of England); POOLE (Tetbury/Malmesbury and surrounding areas of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire (1650 to 1900); READ London/Suffolk

        One of the links on the page Julie has suggested is for the Ryerson Index which I believe contains quite a few obituary notices, so worth checking.

          It doesn't have much for Qld, though, mostly NSW.
