Help needed with Family Tree Maker 2006

[Loopy Linda in La La Land]

A member of my newly found family has sent me a Family Tree which he has copied from his FTM 2006. I have downloaded this to my FTM as a separate tree. Is there any way I can copy the appropriate family members from his tree to mine? I have his permission but neither of us know if there is a way to to this or not.

I don't want to copy the whole tree as he has his wife's family tree merged with his.

Linda put this on the Family tree Board more likely someone will spot it there

If you select the top person in the part of the tree you want and click on the Descendants tree standard in the Tree Charts. Then Export File/Export Individuals in Descendant tree, you will get a tree with only those descendants in it.
