Wi Fi Password an Kindle

I am with Talktalk and recently had problems when they sent me a faulty router.I spoke with them three times-those "press here,click that and take away the number you first thought of"conversations.During that time I was told to put in various passwords,but in the end someone came to the house and set up a new router.
All has been fine until today when I got a Kindle. It has found the wifi signal,but wants a password,which I thought must be the wireless password shown on the router,but the Kindle keeps telling me that this is wrong. What do I do now?

Dave says the Kindle wants your WEP or WPA key. You can find this via your router's web interface, probably under a heading of Wireless security or something similar.

I had problems putting in my password - then I realised that i had to make sure that it is all stars and not the last digit showing, then it worked!!

Dave,the first one of those links did not work for me .The second one I tried a few minutes ago and it gave my correct username,A password that I commonly use and a wireless password.I had already tried both of these to no avail. Surely one of these should work?

Are you sure the Kindle is connecting to the correct wireless network, and not one of your neighbours' by mistake?
