I am still searching desperately for my gg grandad's birth cert or even a reocrd of him in the 1861 census would help but no joy. However I joined a family history group last week which meets fortnightly and is run by two retired gents who help with lost ancestors. They seem determined to find my gg grandad and are sure they'll do it. They even manged to trace one lady's tree back to 1088 so I'm going to stick it out. I'm determined to do this more than anything I think for my uncle's sake as he's 84 now and want to do as much as I can for him beore he shuffles of this mortal coil. For that reason also I was wondering if it might be prudent of me to trce a different line (to whch he is also related) at the same time or would that be too confusing?
