  • A breakthrough, now the census please

Morning all, made a breakthrough on a long standing part of my tree yesterday, now i'm trying to work forwards from the names discovered and see uif there are any more to add to the family group.

My 4th grt g/p are Robert Elmer and Mary Whiter, looks like their marriage and fbaptism of first child were at Brinsley in Norfolk. The remaining events appear to be at North Elmham, it's the latter children i'm interested in and any clues to lead me back from Robert and Mary.

Children of Robert Elmer and Mary Whiter:
Robert Elmer was born 1789 in Brisley, Norfolk (i have his details and census already)

    >> Thomas Elmer was born 1793 in North Elmham, Norfolk
    >> John Elmer was born 1793 in North Elmham, Norfolk
    >> Mary Elmer was born 1795 in North Elmham, Norfolk

Possibly Arthur b1802 and George b1804 to add to the family group too.

Can anyone find the families in the census please and let me have the images?

    Thanks

Not sure quite where this lot may fit into my tree. It's certainly not Robert 1789, he remained in North Elmham. The trouble with the Elmer name in Norfolk is that it pops up quite a bit.

The usual "family" names i have so far don't really help much either

No problem Linda. Thanks for looking. I can't find the death either, it isn't the 1880's death at Mitford, (different branch of the family).

I wonder if Thomas had been married before or if he just married the once quite late in life? Nothing obvious coming up on family pilot site or freereg for him.
