    how can i find out more? he isnt in the chelsea pensioners database.

    Imperial Yeomanry records are TNA reference WO128. The Chelsea Pensioners records on FMP are all ref WO97. Imperial Yeomanry papers can only be seen at the National Archives - they're not online.

        Might be worth contacting Kevin Asplin, who specialises in the Boer War. If he already has information about someone you're looking for, he'll supply it for free, I think; otherwise he can visit Kew to obtain documents, and his charges are quite reasonable.
