I received my next lot of wills today which took 5 weeks(not too bad) but it doesn't do to get excited.
The one I was excited about was an ancestor who was a tea dealer. He died in 1875 and left £35,000. According to the cash converter that translates into £1,690,850.00 in todays money. I thought it would be very interesting to see who he favoured and who he didn't.
Guess what. He didn't leave a will
I got one sheet of paper which was the letter of administration. It just stated his name and address, his wifes name and his son who was dealing with the probate.
What a disappointment.
