  • Help, another mistranscription me thinks!!

After the wonderful help with my Strong Family here is another family to find - if any one has the time.

This time Duce - please do not all groan at once - but be warned there are plenty of possible derivatives!!

    The family in question.

William Duce born 1808 Goldthorpe, Rotherham Married to Mary Goss(Don't Know when)

    Children born Wombwell, Barnsley:

    Joseph born 1839 Wombwell
    George born 1841Wombwell
    Charles born 1843Wombwell
    Ann born 1846 Wombwell
    Mary born 1849 Wombwell
    Elizabeth 1851Wombwell

I have only managed to find them on the 1851 census living in Wombwell

    Many thanks, Sandra

              Hi Wendy,

Thanks for the help - I think I must be losing my touch, I never thought to look for a remarriage for Mary!

Have you had any luck in finding the family in 1841?

              Sandra

Bit disappointed that you have been on the site each day but not back to this thread to acknowledge what I found. I'd like to know whether or not it was useful.

Presumably, though you asked for 1841 entries you don't want them after all as you have been back on the site twice more but still not acknowledged. I will delete them now.

Could I just say that it may appear people are on the site, when they might not be actually be looking at any of it. If they have the site as part of their Home Page in their browser and Remember Me ticked then, it will look as though they are active as soon as their browser is open.

Yes, that applies to me. When I boot up every day I automatically open FTF and google mail but then may not actually sit down to look at anything until I have 5 mins.
