The date had been incorrectly entered as the 21st of November instead of the 23rd. and was accordingly amended.
Whenever an amendment needed to be made in the register the change had to be numbered, so this is the fifth change to be made in this particular register.
The registrar corrected an error in the registe changing twenty first, to twenty third and numbered his correction. This must have been the fifth error he had made in that register. All errors have to be numbered and listed so that if an alteration is later spotted it can be checked to see if it was official.
