  • Can anyone find Edward in 1841?

    Edward Fogg b 1785/6 Ashbourne Derbyshire

    Julie has found him lodging in 1851, then in some kind of work house in 1861 and 1871.

    No sign of him in 1841. We think his wife Mary died in 1843, so will be on his own.

    I also don't have any of his children in 1841

    Thomas 1817
    Elizabeth 1818
    Edward 1823

    But it is possible they have moved on by then

    if Mary died in 1843 then wont she be with him in 1841 ????or have I read that wrong ?

        Piece 188 Book 5 Folio 12 Page 19 Ashbourne
        theres an Edwd and Mary (both 50) that might be them, he is transcribed on Ancestry as Edad Nagg
        With them are a Wm and Elizh Ironmonger, both 20, William Ironmonger + Elizabeth Fogg (father Edward) married 10 Sep 1840 St Oswald Ashbourne
        also there are a George and Mary "Nagg" and family including Emma, 6 (an Emma Fogg born 19/12/1834 christened 13 January 1835 Ashbourne)

          That is correct - Elizabeth did marry William - and I couldn't find her either!

          Not sure whre the others fit in, but sure they must!

            time to slip into Ancestry and do some flippin corrections then Mand... no blimmin wonder I couldnt see them!!

              It seems that even the first names are as abbreviated as they want them to be!

              All sorted now!
