  • Vanishing Family in 1871, Anyone free to see if they can find them Please

    Hi everyone.

I have been struggling with this family for a while now, I have made some progress but I have less then 24 hours left with my ancestry sub, and would really like to try and finish with this family.

Info so far (they appear on these census but no others)

    1841,1851 Thomas Haines b.1821 - Middlesex
    1851, 1861, 1881 Elizabeth Ann Haines b.1829 - Newcastle
    1851, 1901 Thomas Edgar Haines b.1850 - Middlesex
    1861, 1881, 1891, 1901 Charles Haines b.1851 - Middlesex
    1861, 1881, 1891, 1901 Alfred Haines b.1857 - Middlesex
    1861 Mary Ann Haines b.1859 - Middlesex
    1881 Emily Haines b.1867 - Durham
    1881 Catherine Haines b.1870- Scotland

There is a musical theme to the mens occupations, although Thomas b.1821 is listed as licenced victueller on Mary Ann's marriage cert in 1883 - his occupation on all baptism, marriage records is professor of music.

    Any question fire away

Are they all one family, i.e. are Thomas & Elizabeth the parents and the rest their children?

It's a bit difficult finding them all with census refs. Can you give the 1881 ref for Elizabeth Ann Haines b1829.

        The 1881 census reference is RG11; Piece: 3938; Folio: 93; Page: 7.

Elizabeth is living with some of her children here. She is recorded as married.

                              No longer in the wiki!
Go to the home page (via the HOME link on the navigation bar at the top of this page) and select UK county Index and then follow the pages for Ireland.
