  • Marriage help please

According to Free BMD Jane Skeels married in Poplar, london, last quarter of 1860.

Can anyone tell me who to? (free BMD gives a choice of course)

    Thank you Happy days

She married Thomas Henry Lewis on 21 November 1860 at St Stephen's in the Parish of Bow.
If you have access to Ancestry you will find her marriage certificate on the LMA records

Blast. Was hoping for Edward Scott, who is on the 1861 married to Jane, westminster St mary. On the 1871 she had become Jesse.

many thanks for your interest. Happy days

If you don't have Ancestry yourself, you should be able to get access to the library Ancestry.com edition at your local library: it is listed as one of the free online facilities for Cheshire, including Warrington.

You usually have to visit the library to get access to Ancestry (otherwise no-one would bother with subscriptions at all), but you'll get access to several OUP reference books.

If you agitate, you might find you can get access to some of the Gale Thompson databases, such as the Times Digital Archive, as we do in Hertfordshire.
