  • Record Office: Portsmouth Museum / Records office

I wonder if anyone could look up the electoral register for me for an address in Portsmouth for the years 1906 to 1911 INCLUSIVE at the Records Office in Museum Road?

The address is 1 York Terrace, Upper Church Path, Landport / Portsmouth. I would really appreciate it if someone is going there / is in the vicinity. Thanks

    Bertie,

If you look at our Research Offers page in the Reference Library you will see that two of our members have offered to do lookups in Portsmouth.

Go to the home page (click HOME on the navigation bar at the top of the screen).
In the left hand column click on SITE PROJECTS
Scroll down the page until you reach the RESEARCH OFFERS section - click on Research Offers: Record Offices/Archives/Libraries

You will see two offers of help listed for Portsmouth, just click on the member's name to send them a personal message.

Hi Chris - I did not know they covered two years! If, say, there were volumes for 1906-7, 1907-8, 1908-9, I take it that you consulted the one for 1907-8? If so, would it be at all possible for you to do the same for the 1908-9 volume? I suspect there will be some name changes on the later register. You would really help me out if you could do this. Thanks again for your help.
