  • Marriage of Anne Conboy..Query on her husband & his father's names

I found this marriage of Anne Conboy, her father is Patrick Conboy a Coachman which matches the father of my Gt Grandmother, Bridget Conboy who married in Dublin in 1872. (I also know there was an Anne Conboy who was the sponsor to my Irish Gran's sister in 1874.)

The husband of Anne Conboy reads Thomas Farnsworth yet he signs his name as Joseph and I'm not at all sure what his father's name is.

    Any suggestions please.

You would have thought that as the Groom's name was Thomas he would have signed his name as Thomas too and not Joseph!
Can only assume his full name was Thomas Joseph Farnsworth but known as Joseph...so as not to be confused with his father!
The Irish seem to be a dab hand at this!
