THere's a new facility to explore the Domesday book linking people to places via maps etc. It just launched this morning but the site seems V BUSY at the mo. not able to get beyond landing page. When it's quiet you may find some interesting people and places you are interested in - I certainly hope so when I can get in!!! See...

It was an interesting programme, but not worth much from a Genealogical perspective. I just wish they had done a Domesday Book about 1600 so I could find the Family Farms near Petworth.
