southampton cd/ marriage help

hi,

im having trouble with a marriage, and have some parish registers i may order in the hopes it is in them!

so i have robert wills and anne, having children in chichester, sussex, from 1801-1814. i have the chichester churches cd, and cant find the marriage in any church.

robert was born in chichester, son of charles and margaret, and died in 1845, chichester. anne says she was born in southampton in the 1851 census, and died in 1859 in camberwell, london.

so, do i order the southampton cd, and hope they married in anne's home town?

Bear in mind that "Southampton" can mean the county of Hampshire!

oh my goodness elizabeth!! i wasnt too sure on robert wills and anne stacey, until i saw her mothers name anne vye! robert and anne's granddaughter was my 3rd great grandmother, her name was marian vye gadd!! by gerorge i think we've got it!

I'm really pleased, Kylejustin! I have been using the family search pilot site a lot - I have found so many new items of information on there, including an elusive burial for my OH's burial for his 3x gt-grandmother, for whom I couldn't find the death certificate.

i wasnt putting too much spin into the new english parish records on there, mostly because i could only get my cheshire family on them!! but now hampshire seems to have some coverage, ill take a longer look!
