Can someone give me a link to the free Irish Census records, I'm sure I read somewhere that they (or was it just a few) are now available on-line. I'm looking for 1851 onward, looking for Thomas Wallace and his wife Susan/Susanna Baird who had a daughter Jane born abt. 1849 in Ireland.

Essentially, only the 1901 and 1911 censuses survive. However, you may get lucky and find bits and pieces of earlier censuses:

Another source to locate heads of household in the mid-1800s is Griffith's Valuation: http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/gv_start.phpLast edited by Cloggie; 19-07-10, 17:18.Sarah
