  • Can this photo be improved please?

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to improve this photograph please?
Not colour, just as it is in Sepia.
    Thank you.
p.s. I meant to ask if anyone could hazzard a date too please? The lady on the right was born in 1878 and if the lady on the left is who I think it is she was born in 1908.

Than you very much Alan, that's great. Would I be able to put it back to sepia easily?

No, the lady sitting down was my great aunt and the I believe the lady on the left was my aunt. Both on my mothers side so I can understand a possible resemblance. Apart from the headgear of course :D

The dates and photo seem to tie up quite well. I would say the photo was taken in the 20s or early 30s. The younger woman might be about 20 and the older one in her late 40s.

Chrissie I will have an other try tomorrow, at the moment in trying to improve photo it has lost some of its sepia tone.
I had applied a sepia ajustment to try and get it back and that is the one i posted.
If anyone wants to improve sepia tone before tomorrow please feel free.

                    That's odd
                    My post has vanished

Here we are again ~ a little too pink for my liking
                    I prefer a yellower sepia
Warning ... do not sit on the deckchair as I may have zapped part of the mechanism

think you will find the site had problems and had to be restored to an earlier time hence some posts are missing including the ones i did

That is doubly odd because I saw them all and thanked you all, including a joke to Rachel about the deckchair but all my thank you posts have vanished too and there wasn't a photograph on them

Anyway, thank you all again very much

UPDATE - I have just seen a thread on the general board. ALL yesterdays posts went - so not a photobucket problem after all.
