  • Marian & Ronald Frank Proctor- ideas please?

Marian was born in Worcester 1879 & had a son Ronald Frank in 1907 (no father). in 1911 they are living with Marians parents Northwick Road Worcester. By 1913 Marians parents are dead.

I do have reason to believe that Marian may have suffered some form of disability from birth.

After 1911 they both vanish. I can find no marriage or death records for either of them.

I have checked family trees & apart from Marians birth until 1911 was released no-one even had Ronald listed.

Marians family was scattered round the country & so I have checked those places in case she lived with them but still drawn a blank.

Anyone with any fresh ideas? Any clues gratefully accepted. Thank you.

Thank you. Brother George was born in Ireland when dad was in the army, he died in Upton infirmary. I have traced all of her siblings & checked the areas they lived in for any record of Marian & Ronald, not found anything.

The main GRO registers have nothing that fits in either.

I suspect Marian may have been disabled in some way although I know it is not stated. Roanld was born in a hospital that specialised in births for disabled mothers, she also never worked.

Seems a puzzle that there are no records for either of them.

          thank you.

Thank you Julie. I have seen that one but suspect it is a guess. The age is 3 years out.

            Thank you.

The link I provided takes you to the Ancestry death index page, yes the age is three years out, but that all depends on how much info the informant knew surely? I know what you are saying though, but I think I would have to send for it just to satisfy my curiosity.

Hi Julie, I did consider sending for the cert but I cant think what info on it would confirm its him unless a family member reported the death. Any family I know about would be dead by then.

However I might reconsider after your suggestion. Thank you. x

Hmmn yes thats the thing isnt it? about the cert that is.. its a pity that you dont know where this particular Ronald was buried (if he was) just a thought, have you contacted the tree owner that has this death? do they have anymore info that would help you?

I have found a Marion Proctor burial but she died in 01 March 1947 aged 75 in Somerset, (Congresbury) (again the age is a little out) but if you suspected that she had a disability, depending on what it was might have a bearing on her life expectancy.

Hi Julie, I found a birth record for the one born in 1911 so I think I can rule him out, shame.

I have contacted the tree owner through ancestry about someone else So I shall ask her but I think it was a guess on her part.

Somerset??? thats where some of her family went to, thank you!!! worth a second look.
