  • If anyone has any time to spare pleeeease

Have asked for help with them before and they proved difficult
They are the most frustrating family to look for.
Any help at all would be appreciated on census marriages or deaths .

George William KNIGHT born 10/7/1815 Bermondsey a Currier married
Mary Leonard born 1818 St Martins Middlesex
    Married 20/6/1839 Lambeth

All children born in Bermondsey have bracketed the census years I need

Emily born 30/10/1846 (61) onwards or marriage or death

William born 1849 (61) onwards marriage or death

John born 23/2/1852 (61) onwards or marriage or death

found George Mary and first born George in 1841 living in Alvin Street Gloucestershire

found George Mary and first 5 children in 1851 living in 1 Paragon Place Bermondsey

cannot find any of them in 1861

thanks for trying Elaine , I have been searching on and off for a few years now, cannot think what happened to them.
Nobody who is researching them seems to know much either.
Found a few deaths so they did not emigrate.
I am thinking maybe George died and Mary remarried as they all disappear in 1861 ??? but cannot find a likely death for him or a marriage for her.

            Tiny point, Val.

For anyone looking thro', who's tired (so finding it harder to concentrate and absorb stuff), it's still worth putting family names in upper case. I think you're after KNIGHT, (mmn = LEONARD), on a quick look. At first I found it a bit tricky to get my head around what I was looking at.

It's hardly important, but if you're after help, it's worth making it as easy as poss for anyone looking in.

Have you checked out this one for George (Daniel): RG09 piece 315 folio 15 page 48
PoB may be wrong - but I've seen PoB transposed in some cases, with other lines on the same page.
              or here: RG09 piece 550 folio 38 page 17

I thought it looked like Bedford - that would mean you'd have to check back to make sure that he didn't appear in parallel with you man in earlier censuses... and it might be worth checking whether his PoB could have been mixed up with anyone else's.
