  • Joseph Goulson Kirk in the census please

Sorry, can't tell you much about him at all except he married in Grantham 1845 to one of the following

    Birkett Hannah
    Desborough Mary
    Hubbard Mary

Any census pre or post marriage please, i'm working on a hunch but can't pin anything down for a Kirk/Goulson marriage anywhere but both names link to Ropsley in the 1700's.

If i don't come back to the thread it probably means this library pc keeps kicking me off btw, i can start a thread on all the machines here but only a couple let me back on and reply :(

Joseph is a publican, born Grantham.

      Ooh

A quick squint at the 1850's Lincoln directory shows Joseph at the Blue Anchor PH and a Joseph Kirk living close by to the pub and Blue Anchor Court.

Right area to be in for some Goulson relatives in the 1850's too......dare i send for the marriage cert and find out who the daddy is?!!!!!!
