I've traced the Haskins family (my mother's maiden name) back to Minsterworth in Gloucestershire in the mid 18th Century. These are the earliest ancestors / facts that I've discovered so far:
23 Feb 1754. William Haskins of Minsterworth and Mary Underwood of Taynton, Dioc. Glos. were married by J Newton, Praecentor at Gloucester Cathedral (St Peters).
Baptism: William Haskins, Minsterworth, 7 Aug 1757, son of William and Mary Haskins
Marriage: William Haskins, Minsterworth, and Ann Crook, of Taynton, lic., 6 Jan 1782
My side of the Haskins family moved from Gloucestershire to Islip in Oxfordshire and then to Birdham in Sussex (by mid 19th Century).
Does anyone have any more information about the Minsterworth Haskins'?
