The IGI shows numerous descendants of JOHN PATTULLO and AMELIA KIRCALDIE, all born in Dundee about the right time, but no Peter.

Hi Sheila via Scotlands People the only 2 births I can see are

Peter Patullo born 10/3/1805 in Dundee father is Pater Patullo (probably the one you are looking for) and Mary Burns and

Peter Patullo born28/10/1810 in Dundee with same parents as above - maybe first son died and they named another Peter

            Deaths I have are

Peter Patullo died Dundee on 25/5/1789
Peter Patullo died Dundee on 30/11/1821
Peter Patullo died Dundee on 27/11/1825
Peter Patullo died Dundee on 20/01/1850

            Marriages I have are

Peter Patullo married Margaret White 10/11/1816 in Newburgh Fife
Peter Patullo married Agnes Rattray 22/11/1832in Scone Perth (near Dundee)

Hope this helps was all I could find

Nothing else showed up in the Parish Records on Scotlands People but they can be a bit patchy pre 1855. Let me know if I can look up anything else

Another thing I found out is there is a Will available for £5 on Scotlands People for a Peter Patullo date 18/61831 in Forfar Sheriff Court and he is listed as a Mariner at Dundee.

I got one for one of my ancestors and it was about 5 pages and have some great information so might be worthwhile

Sheila couldn't find anyone on the censuses but will try again later

Re his birth as I said before the records are patchy so although born in 1771 I have managed on one side to get back to 1652 but its just your luck if they have transcribed a particular Parishes records

                            Sorry

Hi Sheila unfortunately no Peter Patullo in either the 1841 or 1851 censuses. If he was born 1771 he would have to be around 70 so perhaps he had died by then.

I searched for deaths and found 2 Agnes Patullo's - one who died on 10/9/1824 & another who died on 4/12/1834

Deaths for a Peter Patullo were

                              25/5/1789
                              30/11/1821
                              27/11/1825

                              Hope this helps

                                      Origin of the Italian Patullo's

                                      [QUOTE=Sheila from Down Under;2054497]
                                      Hi Sheila
I am origin from Italy, Boiano around 200 km from Rome. Recently I received my family tree going back to 1500. The last known name is Ianno Patullo, which could be the italianisation of Ian or Iain and he (maybe) came to Italy around the year 1500-1550. Now I am trying to find out if there is a correlation about the Patullo's in Italy and the one's in Scotland. From an internet site I found that "By 1592 the Scottish community in Rome was big enough to merit the building of Sant'Andrea degli Scozzesi. It was constructed for the Scottish expatriate...". It means to discover if my origins are Scots I should find some Patullo's from Scotland who are able to go back with their family tree until 1500.
                                      What do you suggest?
                                      Thanks and regards
                                      Roberto Patullo
