    Could anyone tell me what Edward Harrocks was imprisoned for, his trial was 24 Jul 1843 Lancashsire

    I can't quite make it out - it looks like "larceny from a re?el in port" for which he got 3 months. However there is a line in the Liverpool Mercury of August 4th 1843 which says "Liverpool July sessions...... Stanley Carberry, 41 and Edward Harrocks, 43 for stealing a bag and 1 cwt of saltpetre the property of Charles Lawrence and another - three months"
