GWR Records

Good Evening, just wondered if anyone knew if GWR records are available online anywhere? If not I have found a site that sells a CD that seems to have quite a bit of information (whether my ancestor is on it, is another matter)!

I am fairly certain they aren't and you need to go to Kew to find anything. There's a research leaflet online on TNA website giving info about researching railway ancestors.

FMP do Shareholder records of GWR but not Employee ones which I guess is what your after.

I found GWR staff records at Kew. If you're looking for a name like LANCASTER, I might have a copy for you - but they have a double-page per person, as I recall. The records are in huge tomes in sort-of alpha-order, i.e. in blocks by surname start-letter, but chronological after that.
