Where do I look next?

This should be a nice quick easy one.

I bought the birth certificate for John Brown and Sarah Brown (nee McGovern) first son, born in 1851 Hobart Tasmania.

The certificate came today.....it says a male child.

I presume this means he wasn't named at birth.

Would the next logical place to look be the Archives for Parish Records as he was most likely Christened?

I believe he didn't die in childhood because of the family notice below.

There is an inquest into this death on the portal.archives.tas.gov.au website. It is dated 1882 - that might give some info on his family. I am not sure where Parish records would be held - in NSW State Archives holds copies of the early ones, presumably the relevant church holds later ones.

I have checked the inquest and other family memebers BMD notices, head stones and found nothing to give me a hint as to his name.

I guess it is a trip to the library for me then.....with a bit more determination I am sure I will find his name.
