Thanks for the offer.
Are there any Walkers? I am at a complete loss with my Hull line.

Liz's post has just prompted me to look in a cupboard for a box of assorted FHS publications.
I have unearthed 2 EYFHS Monumental Inscriptions booklets for Sculcoates - North Side and South Side.
I will look in the South Side publication until Liz has to return her copy for the North Side to the library - after that date, I will look in both.

Thanks Liz,
I don't have a lot of info on the Walkers. All I know is that Thomas & Ellen Walker turned up in Leeds in 1871 with their 5 sons aged from 20 to 2. All but the youngest boy were born in Hull.
I have the birth cert for the youngest which tells me that Ellen's maiden name was Smith.
I can't find a marriage for Thomas & Ellen or birth certs for the other 4 boys - John, Edward, Arthur & Harry. I can't find them on either the 1851 or 1861 census. In 1841 Thomas would've been about 12, and Ellen 12-15.
So basically, I'm looking for anything Walker orientated to maybe give me a clue. (I'm not brave enough to ask about Smiths as well)
The only other thing I know is that in 1911, the 82 year old Thomas gives his place of birth as Waterhouse Lane, Hull.
Thanks again
