Adverts help please?

Until about a week ago I didn't get any adverts (flashing or otherwise) on the sites I visit. I haven't changed any of my settings but suddenly there they are. They are on my Yahoo main page, Ancestry, GR etc etc.

Any advice as to how to get rid of them would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on what you use as your browser.

If it's Internet Explorer, make sure you are on at least IE7. Then go here http://www.ie7pro.com/download.php
download file and install.

If you use Firefox, click on add ons and look for adblock plus. Install this, restart Firefox and then choose EasyList (USA) and subscribe.

Thank you for replying The problem is that I am already on IE7 Pro. I installed it a long time ago because I was told that it would get rid of the adverts, and it did. Until about a week ago when they suddenly appeared again out of the blue.
