  • Confusion about 1891 census for Kent

I'm looking for the family of Frank and Louisa Holland and their children who seemed to move backwards and forwards between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. Frank was a baker. I can't find them in England in the 1891 census. (Frank was born in 1847 in Dorchester, Dorset). I have two questions:

    1) does anyone know if bits of Kent are missing from the 1891 census
    2) does anyone know if the census takers got Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells muddled up?

In 1881 the Holland family are in Tonbridge at 131 Camden Road
    (Class RG11 Piece 0916 Folio 97 Page 38)

In 1901 they're in Tunbridge Wells at 149 Camden Road
    (Class: RG13; Piece: 754; Folio: 175; Page: 44.)

The street names are the same but google maps can't find Camden Road in Tonbridge, only in Tunbridge Wells.

    Help!

    Thanks,
    Belinda

Wow! You found that so fast - thank you. (I tried post my thanks earlier, but it seems to have fallen down the gap between my PC and FTF!)
