on the 1851 census Carnarvonshire, Augustus Robert Martin age 46 is a Newspaper Proprietor & Editor, how can I find what newspaper it was, I have had no luck searching
I thought I'd have a quick play on the BL C19th Newspapers site (via my library ticket). I thought I'd try the combination of Bangor and Editor between 1841 and 1861. I guess it must show up in other places BUT:
North Wales Chronicle (Bangor, Wales), Saturday, November 21, 1857; Issue 1607.
THE NORTH WALES CHRONICLE
AND ADVERTISER FOR THE PRINCIPALITY Saturday, November 21, 1857.
Printed and Published by the Editor and Proprietor, AUGUSTUS ROBERT MARTIN, of the parish of Bangor,
at his General Printing Office, in Castle-street, Bangor.
And there's a glimpse of his signature, too! (Probably the lot if you browse the paper.)

PS - I see Elaine has beaten me to it!

When I paid my £5 to find out about someone in Wales who was supposed to have written some newspapers articles all that scoop site said was that he was a journalist in Wales!
