  • Amos hudson and family

    Hi everyone

    Another poser

Amos Hudson chr Pentney, Norfolk 1789 and his wife Sarah nee Beauchamp b Tonbridge, Kent disappear after the 1851 Census for Homer Street, Marylebone.

Any help in tracing them would be most welcome

    Best wishes

There's an Amos Hudson who died in St Marylebone Workhouse aged 92 of bronchitis. Only problem is this is in 1905!

I might be way off with this one but I think it's worth having a look at it!
1861 census - there are some very strange coincidences, particularly with places of birth - a combination of Norfolk, Tonbridge Wells and Marylebone!

If you look at the image for this one, I think the age at death is 81, not 31 ... so could be your man.

Elizabeth marries James Goss in August 1862 - her address given as 9 Homer Street.
Rhoda marries Wm Tappin in April 1863 - her address given as 8 Homer Street.

Have checked Homer Street in the 1861 census and they don't seem to be listed there.
