  • Glad I made contact

I found an old newspaper in my loft dated 1961. There was a very sad headline about a family that had all died in a road accident leaving behind a surviving boy and his dog.

To cut a long story short I contacted a relative through Genes (very diplomatically) and they are amazed and very pleased that I contacted them, they have never seen the article, which includes photographs. The newspaper will be in the post to them this week.

Coincidentally the family who died lived where I lived at the time and the boy was exactly the same age as me.

I deliberated for quite a while before I made contact and now am so glad I did.
