My new found cousin gave me a copy of a letter from my ggg grandmother to her husband, while she was visiting relatives, probably in Kelso. She mentions a brother Benjamin, who is unable to visit, due to illness in his household, but also mentions a cousin Allis, who I think may well be Alice. I have found an Alice Weatherston in 1871 who may well be the missing cousin, but I can't see who she is living with.
The record has her born c1851 & living in Northumberland. I would be really grateful if someone could look her up & see if it gives her parents.

I have been there briefly when I mistakenly believed my ggg grandparents lived there. I tried to check for Robert's baptism on IGI but they are doing maintenance

It is working ok for me as well now, but I got the date wrong, so didn't find it. Thanks Elaine although they may well be related, he doesn't appear to be who I thought he might be.
I am now looking at a Nichol Weatherstone who was born in Eccles, with wife Elspeth/ elizabeth as the possibly rellie, although he doesn't appear to have an Alice, that might have been a pet name.
