    Can anyone help translate the place of death & also the information about the informant please?

    Informant, information received from A.Helder Coroner for Gravesend.Inquest held 25th July 1862.Can't make out address!

          Thanks both of you, I was worried it might not be large enough to read. I am surprised that there would be an inquest though, particularly as he was already in his 70's.

            Why? Age has nothing to do with it. You have to have an inquest if there are doubts about the cause of death.

            Milton in Kent is near Gravesend, not sure what the "most" word is.

              It will be "Milton next Gravesend". There are several Miltons in Kent: you also find Milton next Sittingbourne and Milton next Canterbury.

                I would just have thought that at his age it would be natural causes & not worth an inquest, particularly that far back.
