  • Record Office: West Sussex - re Felpham

    All strictly non-urgent...
I would like to have a copy of:

the Feltham baptism register entry for:
    5 Jul 1833 Margaret HAYLER/HAILER or BIGWOOD

the marriage register entries for two marriages at Felpham:

    15 Sep 1834 Henry BIGWOOD & Jane HAYLER/HAILER
8 Oct 1844 John CLARKE & Jane BIGWOOD, widow.

Now I look at it, there are lots of things I'd like from there (not just Felpham records) - I can see I shall have to go visiting family/friends in Chichester!

Apart from anything else, I'd love to find out a bit more about this:
7 Apr 1836: Henry BIGWOOD, age 22, for Assault at Sussex County Sessions, W Division, p338. 3mo & sureties. [HO27/52p338]. Most people called BIGWOOD, at that time, were in Wiltshire. The age is right for my Henry BIGWOOD, so it's all rather intriguing. Perhaps there's a newspaper account: I can't find anything in the C19th BL collection online, so I'm not sure where else I'd find the relevant info.
